MILLENNIUM KINGDOM USHERED IN – CONTINUED

REVELATION 20:4-6

As we get started today, I would like to remind us of some things that God provides every believer at the moment of salvation.  Question:  “Why would you not want God’s blessings in your life?”  You can experience God’s wonderful blessings.  But there is only one way.  These wonderful blessings are provided for the true believer only through the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-13; Ephesians 1:3-5).

Let’s note some of the blessings for the true Christian as complied by Lewis Sperry Chafer and revised by R.G. Thieme, Jr.

1. The believer resides in the eternal plan of God (He shares the destiny of Christ); we are…

a. foreknown: (Acts 2:23; Romans 8:29; I Peter 1:2).

b. elected: (Romans 8:33; Colossians 3:12; I Thessalonians 1:4; Titus 1:1).

c. predestined: (Romans 8:29-30; Ephesians 1:5; Ephesians 1:11; I Peter 1:2).

d. chosen: (Matthew 22:14; I Peter 2:4).

e. called: (I Thessalonians 5:24).

2. The believer is reconciled (removal of the barrier between man and God)…

a.  by God (2 Corinthians 5:18-19; Colossians 1:20).

b. to God (Romans 5:10; 2 Corinthians 5:20; Ephesians 2:14-17).

3. The believer is redeemed (purchased from the slave market of sin): (Romans 3:24; Colossians 1:14; I Peter 1:18).

4. The believer’s condemnation (eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire) is removed: (John 3:18: John 5:24; Romans 8:1).

5. All sins are judged by the substitutionary Spiritual Death of Christ on the Cross: (Romans 4:25; Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 2:24).

These blessings will be reflected in future studies of Revelation.

Now let’s move back to considering the Millennium Kingdom and what life will be like in the Millennium Kingdom with the 44th statement concerning the life in the Millennium:

44. All animals will live in peace. There will be no savagery, no fear of animals in the Millennium Kingdom.

“The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat.  They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD” (Isaiah 65:25).

45. Israel will be established as a nation forever.

“Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; THE LORD of hosts is his name: if those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever. Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD” (Jeremiah 31:35-37).

46. The Gentiles received the inheritance and the blessings of Israel.

“And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.  And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord GOD” (Ezekiel 47:22-23).

“The princes of the people [from all nations] are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shield of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted” (Psalm 47:9).

47. The Feast of Tabernacles will be celebrated on a yearly basis.

“And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles” (Zechariah 14:16; Exodus 23:16; John 7:37).

48. Life in the Millennium will be governed by righteousness. Christ is going to judge the earth with righteousness and truth.

“The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to be, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.  And he shall be as then light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain” (2 Samuel 23:3-4).

“O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth” (Psalm 67:4).

“Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth” (Psalm 96:13).

“Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity” (Psalm 98:9).

“And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness” (Isaiah 16:5).

“Behold the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth” (Jeremiah 23:5).

“In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land” (Jeremiah 33:15).

49. Christ is going to appoint a kingdom to the apostles.

“And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me” (Luke 22:29).

50. Christ will prevent evil from being done by one nation against another nation.

“The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid” (Zephaniah 3:13).

“The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shall not see evil [from any nation] anymore” (Zephaniah 3:15).

51. God’s commandments will be kept by the nations. There will be national obedience.

“But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? And I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me” (Jeremiah 3:19).

52. The citizens of Jerusalem will be called holy.

“And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning” (Isaiah 4:3-4).

53. Believers will call God “my Father.”

“But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? And I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me” (Jeremiah 3:19).

54. Life in the Millennium will be a life of worship. All nations and kings and people of the earth will worship Christ.

“All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee” (Psalm 22:27).

“All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name” (Psalm 66:4).

“And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised” (Psalm 72:15).

“All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name” (Psalm 86:9).

“So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory….To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem; when the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms to serve the LORD” (Psalm 102:15, 21-22).

“All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.  Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD” (Psalm 138:4-5).

“And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth , in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory” (Jeremiah 4:2).

“Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that
God is with you” (Zechariah 8:23).

55. All nations will seek instruction from Christ. Gentiles will become the multiplied seed of David and members of the priesthood of God’s true people, the true Israel.

“But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.  And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,   AND TO THE HOUSE OF THE God of Jacob; and he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem” (Micah 4:1-2).

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.  And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem” (Isaiah 2:2-3).

“Neither shall the priests the Levites [the tribe of the priesthood] want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually….As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites [the priests] that minister unto me” (Jeremiah 33:18, 22).

“And I will also take of them [Gentiles] for priests and for Levites [the priesthood], saith the LORD” (Isaiah 66:21).

56. There will be a covenant of peace between God and Israel, even the forgiveness of sin.

“And so all Israel, shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion their Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:  for this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins” (Romans 11:126-27).

“I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which  was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment” (Ezekiel 34:16).

“For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee” (Isaiah 54:10).

57. All of God’s people will be purified.

“And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi [the priests], and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.  Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years” (Malachi 3:3-4).

58. The nations will bless Christ and glory in Him.

“And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory” (Jeremiah 4:2).

“All of the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee” (Psalm 22:27).

What are some verses that show that resurrected believers will rule and reign during the Millennium?

59. The kingdom and dominion of the world shall be given to believers.

“The kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him” (Daniel 7:27).

60. The Apostles will rule and reign over the twelve tribes of Israel.

“And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel” (Matthew 19:28).

“And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father” (Matthew 20:23).

“I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire….And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom , and all dominions shall serve and obey him” (Daniel 7:9, 27).

61. God’s people will be heirs of the world, of the whole world or universe.

“And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou mayest be a holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken” (Deuteronomy 26:19).

“For the promise, that he should be heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith” (Romans 4:13).

62. God’s people will rule as princes.

“Behold a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment” (Isaiah 32:1).

63. All believers will rule and reign with Christ.

“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father” (Revelation 2:26-27).

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also over came, and am set down with my Father in his throne” (Revelation 3:21).

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth” (Revelation 5:10).

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years…. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” (Revelation 20:4,6).

64. The Lord will set up shepherds (leaders) over His people.

“And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD” (Jeremiah 23:4).

Now, as we close this study let’s turn to something extremely important to those who know not God’s Son as Savior.  If that would be your case, please read John 3:16 and Romans 10:13 and follow the road to heaven…you will never be sorry if you do.   Why?  Because God has given you His free gift of eternal life and now you are His disciple.  Please praise and love Him.
