“Oh that I were as in months past.”  (Jon 29:2)

This is what many Christians say viewing the past with pleasure but the present with dissatisfaction.  Once they lived near to Jesus, but now they feel that they have wandered from Him.  There are many causes; neglect of prayer, idolatry, self-confidence and self-righteousness.  If this is your state now, go and seek your Master and talk to Him, ask for His grace and strength, humble yourself before Him.  Do not sit down to sigh and lament; while the beloved Physician lives there is hope, a certainty of recovery for the worst cases.  Don’t wish it, do it, now!
